Just saw comment from Dave T and wondered! As my car is the same age as me and turns 33 in two days, is she entitled to anything likes Dave's such as classic car tax??? classic car insutrance or anything else? or is it like it owner, got to work to 73 and get naff all!!!!!!??????

tax free (historic) is pre 73 at the moment  but in october it will change to pre74  well thats what a ,snout,, with dvla contacts has told me ..

I'm working like a muppet recently so totally enjoyed the tax man taking 1350 off me at the end of the month. I feel so bad now the benifits is capped at 26k a year. Must be terrible. Grrrrrrrrrrr

From 1st April 2014 any car first registered before 1st Jan 1974 is now tax exempt.

Sorry to add to your woe's John, but it's not a rolling date. They just extended it by 1 year at the last Budget.
