in the past ,i  have resorted to using an old feeler gauge against the boot, and a screwdriver to work the clip round , it worked for me just be carefull that you dont  trap the boot between the clip and the feeler gauge

just do not mension  Grease and Seal, not in the same sentance, other wise you will awaken  BIG VERN.

please no more of this grease it up and slide it in,  ive only just had my dinner!!

Thanks to both of you Martin/Wayne  . Ive had a pretty productive day  ,.Both boots fitted ,car all checked over ,forms all filled in and sent off to D V L A   now just to wait for my FREE tax :)

yeap, hopefully be sending off for mine soon also fingers crossed

Steering wheel is pretty much centrol heres a pic from the otherside. The seats are some sort of rally things don't know what make they are. I may change them for some little bucket style ones eventually as they are a sod to get in and out of and I would like a tonneau cover and these have high backs.

Yes Daryl that's why Ive fitted one, just wish it had some nurling on the locking ring as I find it hard to grip things with my old hands these days   .
