Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Hello all I have a phaeton and I find the brakes aren't very good, its drum rear and disk front but I think they lack feel, they are in perfect order good pads disks not spongy on the pedal but I'm not happy with them,
Can anyone recommend an upgrade I can do that will still fit inside the 13inch revolution wheels...
Any help much appreciated

Had a good look over my brakes, they are mk2 escort m16 calipers and the discs are quite pitted so i assume thats wherw my problem lays, i will be putting new pads and discs on and now i have priced ap four pots i have decided against that upgrade, will drilled and vented discs make much difference ?
I have them fitted on my lexus but i never drove it properly with the std solid discs.
Thanks for all the replies

Did you sort your brakes out?  I dont think that drilled and vented discs will make any difference over the stock item  due to the light weight of a dutton ,i would as a matter of course change your brake fluid also and re bleed the system until youve got every bit of air out  sometimes it can take several attempts to purge every last bit of air  but you will notice the difference
