SORN'd Daisy Dutton today, and no Steve it's not the rain that's won. It's my right foot just too heavy and another gearbox bites the dust along with very low oil pressure. Coming back from Donnington was a struggle.

Decision made to rebuild engine, replace gearbox (still 4 speed just stronger Type 3) service back axle. Nine years of caning the old girl doesn't help! give the car some stick to...

Ade came up trumps with 1300 X-Flow engine in a box, so thats going in James' Sierra and my 1700 will be sorted along with the bike carbs (Sorry Steve H) Country roads prepare yourselves. Oh did I mention the respray? BRG

I love seeing a Boxter in the rear view mirror still looking for second gear, they usually don't try at the next lights:-)

Well Mother came home today after 21 weeks in nursing care after breaking her leg way back in September. My knee is well again, so yesterday I decided sod the type 3 box, that means prop change and possible diff flange, I called at GS Escorts yesterday to see if he had a sports escort box, and he did £25 he said nobody wants them these days. He had about 10 of them in the stores. Cash changed hands, I am chuffed. Hopefully this weekend will stay dry, engine out and back in tomorrow with gearbox replaced. a few tweeks and taxed for the 1st March. The 1700 will stay on the floor for now and Ade can have the type 3 box back in the Northern stores.
