Dutton representation this year!?

All, question to throw out there but what events do you as individuals and the DOC plan to attend this year to show case Duttons.

My opinions in this matter is that I feel we should essentially raise Dutton's profile and hopefully for good? I know I'm new to this club so may be opening old wounds or simply going over old ground but in my opinion we should attend as many event and with the most amount of cars (easily said I know). i know the comments of "quality" cars will crop up but there's lots of people here who are apparently building cars!?

Anyway here is my new topic and I hope I haven't upset anyone or trodden on anyone's toes.

Mike, try asking round your local kit car fraternity, spread it as wide as you can,  that way you stand a better chance than just on Duttons,  every show starts with a small number, then the following year as more people get to hear numbers go up,  dont be scared of looking like a pratt,  its better to have tried and failed  than never have  tried

how far is north lincolnshire from  most of us any way, how many  could manage to get up there, because i'm sure if it was a date when there was no other shows us fellow members would if we could want to help you  by getting as many of us up there as we could, is it further than  stoneleigh?

i go to shows all the time by me and they all have new sts and jap cars and therre all quite happy for me to show my little dutton and its always talk of the shows and get togethers but saying that i am the only one in north wales that i no of with one

No steve we arn't all as gifted as some, hense why the what might seen to some, very stupid  questions that pop up, Cars are not like what most of us 50+ duffers grew up with,  back then you knew what the floflo valve did, or the function of the wigglepin. 

for the younger generation things like a ohv crossflow must seem strange as well as brakes that you have to adjust manually, but on the other hand, ecu's and mapping scare me stupid,  so its swings and roundabouts.

thing is this, DOC is our club, wharts and all, and apart from the odd falling out, we seem to all have the same purpose, to keep duttons on the road and  to enjoy our cars.

If i am honest, i miss going to shows, to see other poeples cars and enjoy the banter, but shows are not everyones cup of tea, whats important is that we continue to support each other and enjoy our cars in what ever way suits each and every member .  for me its going to be getting together with like minded people and driving my car when ever i can . whilst it may not be in time for this years shows, it will be ready and sorted in time for next years show season,
