Dutton representation this year!?

All, question to throw out there but what events do you as individuals and the DOC plan to attend this year to show case Duttons.

My opinions in this matter is that I feel we should essentially raise Dutton's profile and hopefully for good? I know I'm new to this club so may be opening old wounds or simply going over old ground but in my opinion we should attend as many event and with the most amount of cars (easily said I know). i know the comments of "quality" cars will crop up but there's lots of people here who are apparently building cars!?

Anyway here is my new topic and I hope I haven't upset anyone or trodden on anyone's toes.

James you are correct, all the help in the world on here and as you see it usually works. I like the way the thread gets lost and the banta takes over as you can see from this thread I mean who'd have thunk it from "What shows are you going to this year" to Daryls new profile picture!!!

It's when you drive your chosen Dutton that you realise I built this and the stupid big Dutton smile hits your face.

I wouldn't think twice about travelling anyway in the UK in my tin top someone else pays for my diesel, and there's a good chance it will be an uneventful trip. But travelling to Stoneleigh or even a good blast around our local country lanes costs more and more these days and your never quite sure you'll get back without something breaking.

JUst to add my fourth penny'th. Yesterday I have owned Daisy Dutton for 10 years, and for the first 5 years I took myself off on a run about local roads perhaps covering less than 1000 miles in that five years, that included annual runs to Stoneleigh. I met Ade on-line (No Daryl not a dating website) and arrange to travel to Stoneleigh in convoy (2 cars Ha! Ha!) with that the seed was planted. You have to make the effort. We meet to drive not stand around covering about 1000 miles a year now  Apart from Ade who uses his cars daily.

We are like minded folk and it's our Dutton's and Westfield that brought us together as Friends. OMG I've got a tear in my eye.

 And there we have it folks, straight out of the horses mouth Dave is a week end duttoneete, and Ade, well i hear sue is shopping for an even heavier bottomed frying pan :))  not to sure about who planted what seed??

well there,s no meetings or get togethers around north lincolnshire, and i was thinking about talking to the local agriculteral show who have a nice size and very varied show including classic cars and commercials.

about having a ,dutton, or kit section

the show is in june  but if dutton owners can,t /won,t agree with one another over such things i may as well forget it ,

because if i got it organised and no one turned up i,d be left looking a pratt,,,

Mike, try asking round your local kit car fraternity, spread it as wide as you can,  that way you stand a better chance than just on Duttons,  every show starts with a small number, then the following year as more people get to hear numbers go up,  dont be scared of looking like a pratt,  its better to have tried and failed  than never have  tried

how far is north lincolnshire from  most of us any way, how many  could manage to get up there, because i'm sure if it was a date when there was no other shows us fellow members would if we could want to help you  by getting as many of us up there as we could, is it further than  stoneleigh?

i go to shows all the time by me and they all have new sts and jap cars and therre all quite happy for me to show my little dutton and its always talk of the shows and get togethers but saying that i am the only one in north wales that i no of with one
