steering wheel nut

i have a triumph spitfire steering column on my dutton s2, does anyone know what thread type the nut is that holds steering wheel in place. i think its 9/16 but the thread looks vey fine.

it is an imperial thread, and it is fine.... i will see if i can find out for you, no promises though.

£2.55 for a new nut , should have it today along with a repair kit for master cylinder
