Well I decided to remove the engine and see whats needed, cyclinder head off and the tops of the pistons oily. Theres no lip at all at the top of the bores so mabe just a hone and new piston rings. I will stip the engine block one evening in the week.

Well tomorrow I am off to Dundee to get a full engine ballance, The guys are going to do it while I wait, that way I wont have to make a return trip to collect, Now looking forward to the reassemberly.
injector will not be on full flow but thats what the nissan geeks say I need for stage , It not the daily driver so economy does not matter.
Well I just recived my flwheel, I can now get it all away to get ballanced, Its not that easy where I live, the closest place is Dundee, Still need to get 444cc injectors and a Gt2560r tubo but thet wont hold me up.
The bits are comming to gether, Got the the block and crank back, I am building it with forged parts and hope to run at about 300 bhp. Going to try for this summer but it very exspensive aquireing the parts, Im not charncing it this time it will go on the roller before I put it back on the road.
How's the engine rebuild going Paul?
Well I finnished stripping down the engine, The crankshaft had a few scorein the mains so that a the engineers having a regrind, I found the problem with the excessive oil on the piston tops, Its sufferd with detination and damaged the pistons arround the top rings, it also broken the piston between the top 2 rings on 2 pistons, the block has also sent to be mesured and honed or rebored, so its a case of waiting now
I'm glad you haven't given up on it Paul, i'd like to see it in the flesh one day!
