Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

it was very icy and dark......at the time it was fine until i tried to pull into the Gate to the righthand it wouldn't grip so i tried to rock it back and forth and the trailer just slid to the left .....and then started to sink into the ditch at the side of the road. a couple more degrees and i would have broken my mirrors......when the truck landed on them. the farmer i was delivering to was unwilling to  to use his tractors to tow me out as i grossed 44 ton at the time.

the trailer actually moved about 18" sideways on the icy road!

OOOOOP's   how did you get it out Dave?

They had to send out a wrecker to tow me out. I didnt thhink it would work but they knew what they were doing. The more I tried the worse it got the camber of the road was quite big and even standing on the road was "fun".

must be about 30 degrees off vertical, bummer., change of underpants moment of the week i think.

thats happened to me a few years ago when it came to rest i flew out of the cab thinking it was going to go gits even let me go because it cost 2000 for the wrecker to come out and no damage to the wagon
