Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Well here we go, chassis fabrication work has now been completed and as you can see from the pic below has been stripped back down for final welding and capping of any open box sections, this will start tonight, the roll bar will be cut off again (only tacked on) and sent away for chroming. Rivnuts will be fitted along the bottom chassis rail for the mounting of the side skirts ( stolen the idea from our German friend Jorg )

Two coats of POR15 will then be applied ...........

Thanks chaps, defo a huge grin on the old boat!  Paint, carpet and seats to do, then MOT time.

Ah, but where's the video Mr Sheridan, Rebuild 'fire ups' require a Video

Got there in the end, well done Sherry, on the home leg now:))   all set for IOW tour next year :))))))))))

I have to agree with Ade about video evidence.

Will post video, when its uploaded to you tube.

This is a fully mapable stand alone engine management system, all the software is supplied with the ecu. With an OEM system like yours, you would have to have access to the original software, which is not generally available.

Well, I cant do any more prep! ......... Primer blocked down, workshop de dusted, car masked up, paint ready for mixing and video camera positioned.  So by this time tomorrow, the Phaeton will have its new paint coat.

Woo Hoo, way to go Mr S.

Now are you shooting timelapse or full speed video. There is an app for the android phones that does timelapse and I've used it in the car to good effect, compresses an hour into four or five minutes, would look funny with you running around the car making it change colour in a few moments.

Good luck Paul. Sure it will be awesome.

One small step for man, one huge leap for Paul. Hope it all goes well.
