Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

So gentlemen, hows this for spooky !!!! just done my Dutton Chassis plate that will be riveted next to the welded one. Showing the original factory chassis number as stamped into the spare wheel bracket. Bit strange that the year the car gets back on the road after its rebuild is the same as the chassis number !!!!!!!!    Some would say it was meant to be .......... PMSL

Just like the rest of the car then Paul, neat and tidy. Thats not one of our HD aluminium plates, too thin. Is it stainless?

I got it from you a couple of years ago I think, its about 3mm thick and ally, is just the angle the picture was taken at.

Hmmm I stand corrected then... it must just be the angle as you say.

Very nice lettering though, doesn't look stamped, you had it engraved?

Errrrmmmm ..... Yes :-) Engraved. Try as I might I couldn't get the bloody line of letters straight with my punches, not straight enough anyway.

I'm going to have a word with the engravers that did the trophies you missed out on  and see if they can offer a set price for engraving and shipping a plate. The trophies were about £2 - £2.50 per plaque and we have a fair quantity of new plates. Mine are stamped (also not in a straight line) but they'll do me for the time being...

Check this out... £70 but its from China :(
