Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

I would argue that someone who owns a landrover and goes green laneing has a sports car. and someone who has a lotus seven that only gets used for commuting does not!
Untill the 70‘s a sports car did not mean it was “fast“ just generally lighter. since then it usually only refers to fast cars.
Here are some interesting facts and figures;
1.8 TDCI Ford Focus 1375kg 113hp 207ft/lb 0-60 10.8 118 mph max 50mpg
2.0 ohc sierra 1118kg 109 hp 128ft/lb 0-60 9.7 116mph max 25mpg
Xr3i 900kg 94hp 97ft/lb 0-60 9.7 113 mph max 30 mpg
none are true sports cars but most folks would think the xr3 is even though its not the quickest.

Ok, going to call mine a Phaeton Coupe  .....

In styling usage, the term coupe refers to a close-coupled automobile. Couple distance is the distance between the driver's hip joint when seated (which stylists call the "H-point") and the rear axle. (The term can alternately refer to the distance between the driver's "H-point" and the H-point of the rear-seat passenger.) A "close-coupled" car, therefore, is one where the front seats are relatively close to the rear wheels, which naturally leaves little or no space for rear-seat passengers.

Oh if you're getting technical could call it mid engined too as engine is behind front wheels!

I think you'll find the definition of mid engined is it has to be behind the driver but forward of the rear wheels

Beetle & 911 rear engned, lambo miura mid engined Vauxhall Corsa front engined

Coupe not couple. Coupe as in fix head coupe ie it has a fixed roof.

I'm going to play with photoshop later and see what I can do with an e-type style roof on the legerra as the Dutton hard top is very short and stumpy.

Ooops. .........wot have i done ;-)

caused a bl##dy riot  ,,lol,,,,

Oh and only needs to be 2 Horse power. Next!!!

fully plan to when mine is finished.....Newark i hope or a week or so before.

What about it being DGT (Dutton Grin Tourer). see what I did there? used the GT and D and not a Diesel in site.
