Maybe PM's would have been a wiser course of action Rob :-)

NO not my style, its the same with most of the other forums im on people post stuff, threads get locked, deleted etc

happened before with the dutton owners site where some things went on an 99% of the people didnt know cause it was kept secret.whats the point ??? say it and let everyone see.

Everyone includes the authorities.......

So ? there is no limit on the amout of kits or the number of V5,s anyone can own/sell/or give away

IT is not illegal to "own" or have in your possesion a V5 without haveing the car-the V5 is for the registered keeper, dosent have to be the legal owner of the car thou.

Sorry Rob but you're wrong on that one.

All V5's and V5c's belong to the DVLA and that has always been the case. It is their document that they issue to the registered keeper of the vehicle to which it relates. If you are no longer the keeper of the vehicle or have permanently experted or scrapped the vehicle then you must return the V5 to them. Failure to do so could result in a fine and prosecution though they do not say what the penalty is nor am I aware of anyone being prosecuted - Yet! As the system gets ever tighter I'm sure penalties will become automatic.

The DVLA have withdrawn nearly 1000 tax exempt mini registrations from mini boys, ringing them onto newer cars to avoid paying road tax. Many of those were 'detected' through the mini forums :-o

Always best to keep this sort of thing off the forum, do we want newmembers tosee thissort of thing going on?, we've got our selves in enough greiff already.

I agree on this one, best to keep the forum clear.
