Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

I say, Mr Stent from CKC is in big trouble with my Daughter for being sexist !!! I think a letter will be forthcoming lol.   In his welome editorial, in Decembers mag, he states that we should  endeavour to have more Father/Son kit car projects ........ 'red rag to a bull' springs to mind or in this case the ..... 'tasmanian devil'    She recons she knows more about BHP than most blokes, and certainly knows how to use it !!!

Think a kit car mug may be on the cards  :-))

best way of dealing with this is to get a track day out of him, your daughter vs him, then wipe the floor with him,  I bet that wouldn't find it's way into his mag though, but whats the saying, Revenge is sweet, especially when served ice cold

Funny you say that Martin, last year we gave my son a driving experience in a Lambougini, and we all went to watch. My dear daughter sweet talked the old man ( muggins here ) into paying for her to have a few laps in a tuned Evo, well the instructor got out afterwards looking rather pale, yep she can drift it !!! Thank goodness she has calmed down a bit since she gave us a grandson :-))

Out of your daughter and son, who would be likily to win a race if in identical cars and how long would the sibling rivalry go on for?

Would have to say Daughter ........ petrol head, through and through, and will push a car to its limits.

A journo being controversial - well who would have thought :-))))

I know a quite a few women who can pedal, and several who can weald the spanners too, there are a few who have built kit cars as well.

And there was that girl who restored a frogeye sprite on that wreck rescue series on discovery.

My Phaeton is a Father / Daughter project.  She may only be 5 years old, but she firmly believes the Phaeton is her car.  She keeps saying "Daddy when are you going to put the engine in my car".  She regularly attempts to assist with car jobs and knows the basic of a car.  She likes visiting the local motor factors.

Make the most of it Dave, when she has got her own car, you wont get bugger all done on yours, that's why mine has taken 4 years !!!

hes still a naughty boy for only saying word dutton once and no photos when effort went into getting cars to donny for hertiage stand grrrr. lol

she sounds like my X she was a master tec for Porshe. my daughter is 10 and is in to quod bikes and she keeps asking when she gets to drive her car (my dutton) as she can drive a car ! thanks to my dad for letting her loose in his car round the field on her owne

I taught both my boys to drive up at Brands Hatch in the paddock overflow carpark, they were 5 and 6...

Daughter Ashley is now 25 and as far as I am aware still on a provisional :-( The closest she has ever been to any of my cars or tools is cadging a lift with her mates.
