Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

In the December issue of CKC there are two articals that mention Duttons, one by the classic car journo; Richard Heseltine headed 'Will a Dutton ever be thought of as a classic.....Does it realy matter' and then there is a small; artical on how good our Dutton Torque mag is, and the German Dutton club.

Complete Kit Car.. is that one of Ian Stent's or Des Tanner's?

Den Tanner was Kit Car mag. Defunct now I believe.

Mr Stent's

I like mr Stent...

I would reproduce it, but might get told off ..... seeing as I've been giving him some stick about being sexist ;-)))   but all in good fun..... my daughter and I even got a couple of kit car mug's out of the banter.

I can't remember what the official title of the organisation is but we up 'ere belong to something or other... I'll work it out when I get home .

Point it that Duttons ARE already recognised as classic british cars...

I agree, Steve, lets show em ....... and as its my thread, I dont want any knocking of pedestals on it ..... Positive vibes only on this one !!   ;-))))

We are already a member of the FBHVC Dave T has the details I believe.

The Northern Duttoneers are already members of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs, and was welcome because of the historic value of the Dutton cars to British motoring history (there words not mine)

Would be good to have a small version of that on our shirts along side the DOC logo (old or revised)  That would be a finger up, to a lot of disbelivers :-)

Hi everybody, Thanks for the welcome earlier - just noticed this thread. What about getting the logo for the Fed British Historic Vehicle Clubs printed with the word DUTTON in fairly large letters around the perimeter on the lower half. The whole thing could be about 4 inches diameter. You could have them printed in a single colour on a sticky back clear sheet; the colour of the car bodywork would then show through. If they were  produced in a few basic colours (black, white red, yellow etc),  that would be sufficient to show up against any of the paint schemes owners use for their cars. - Miles

It was suggested last year at the AGM that the DOC should join as a club, cost is 38p per member if I remember correctly. I can't for the life of me remember what was decided but obviously nothing came of it afterwards.... Is there something else I have forgotten to do?
