some pics of the rebuild process,

the top trailing arm bracket is broke......

the diff is sloping back a little (looking up) so that will need sorting.......

As you can see there isn't a lot of bracing in an S1 chassis, that will be sorted.

It is my sierra S2. 1300 xflow. goes quite well and is fun to drive.

The car is looking very good, fantastic rebuild

Cheers. it has been a lot of work but from start to finish just under 6 months.

its looking good Dave wont be long now

Car is almost finished, but i have been stitched into working today with various hassles job related i am some 3 hours delayed already today and about 4 to go. target is still MOT next Saturday.

closer and closer........... so this will be next years paint job, hope you like it. its tough if you dont because i do. :-)

and....

Looking good, bet you're looking forward to having it back on the road

The windscreen goes back on tomorrow plus seats carpets etc. busy day tomorrow as i have to make new seats as well.

had all the electrics fired up to check them on Tuesday, since its going for MOT on Saturday if i finish it.......

every thing worked as it should first time if you except that the dash idiot lights worked as they should but the indicators  were the opposite way round (two wires to swap) and the main beam idiot light lit on dip not main (again two wires to swap) so very pleased really for a total rewire, well total rebuild in just less than 6 months....some pics, only the carpets to fit in the car and some minor tweaks and mot here we come.

and finally, because Steve likes my headlights :-)

Hi Dave,

you take a good job.

congratulations :-)

Tom

Thanks tom.....a little longer than i planned (by one month) but i am happy with the result.
Because the “v“ of the nose cone is not central to the bulge of the nose cone so i angled the stripe slightly, it has a. has about a 3“ off center angle. i hoped it would look better than not going up the center of the bonnet bulge. it might not be such a great idea. Yes the red stripe is a bit thicker on the spoiler its a fettling job for later, again i hoped it would not be so noticable once the number plate was fitted.......wrong ;-)
