just rebuilt this engine for the dutton its the same year as the car 1974 i think lol.
1700cc xflow with twin 40s its should be around 130bhp.

That looks really nice, now you have to try to keep it clean!
I saw an Autocar roadtest of a Caterham 1700 Super Sprint. It was a very similar engine with the same carbs. They had a 10.5:1 compression ratio. That did 0-60 in 5.6 seconds.
That's a proper engine that is.
The kent is just a sweet engine. I have a 1600 in my Phaeton and 1700 in the Sierra, both going on bike carbs this year.
Very nice, often think that I should have gone down that route rather than tuning a zetec !!
