Looking into 2016, I am intending to organize a fun weekend of camping, socialising and racing (optional) at Santa Pod Raceway in Bedfordshire. The aim is to get as many Duttons as we can from across the country to join in.
I know it is a logistical nightmare as some of you will have to come a very long way ...... see below. But given that we all have a common love for our cars, it would be great to get us all together for some fun ( WITH NO FEKIN POLITICS )
Hopefully you will all embrace this idea and we can get if off the ground ...... or up the track ;-)))
Once I know what sort of response we have to the idea, I will then put forward some dates and look at it seriously.
Cheers for now, Paul.
Distances (approx).

Cumbria 234

The Retro Show is a fairly big event each year, we would have our own area, although the idea is to get a show of Duttons, it is also a social event, so anybody can come. As far as I'm concerned the more the merrier :-)
We can get it into practical classics, no problem there. You'll have to speak to James about DT.
It doesn't have to be just Duttons anyway, I doubt we'd ever get 'sole use' of the site so I don't see a problem with making it an open invitation.
Moving forward on this subject, I now have a Santa Pod date for a Dutton get together ............ The Retro Show, Sunday 3rd July 2016 What we need to do now is get the word out, Mr Southgate and Mr Saul are names that spring to mind here, any ideas chaps? Also, may be time for the Nothern Duttoneers to venture South??
We need every one behind this in order to make it work.
I like the idea and I would really like to come but my 2016 is starting to get busy, so I might have difficulty getting a 2 day pass. Roger Barr has been to similar events at the Shakespeare Country Raceway - there's a story in the next Dutton Torque which should be out before Christmas.
Pinch your thread a minute: this is always a good show for the Southern guys: http://www.jonniejumble.co.uk/classic_car_events_and_shows/Ardingly...
