Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

As Victor Meldrue would have said, "I dont bloody believe it"

Yesterday after a run out to collect some 14" wellers, parked up and about to get out of the Sierra, there was a loud metalic bang from somewhere on the car, after a look around i found the o/s front spring had broken!, so ive spent this afternoon changing it, ive no idea what Ib rateing the old spring ive put on is but the car stands level side to side so it will do to get to Newark, after that i think ill order a new pair but 2" shorter because its always had a nose up stance when unladen and good springs on the rear.So only another 100 jobs to do before sunday, heres hopeing the weather is ok the rest of the week, and of course even better at the weekend.

If i remember correctly in my mot tester days Renault Clios used to have a bad reputation for broken front springs, anyway ive put some rubber on affor mentioned 14" wellers so the rims need sanding and painting tomorrow, fingers crossed for a dry day.

Sue had one break on her Mondeo last year or so. The AA man went and got a replacement and fitted it, a credit to the original spirit of the AA that chap. Above and beyond the call and all that.
