the above is an example of a "Lefora" style forum, the software to use it is free and it looks to have a good layout....the forum in question isn't well used but that doesn't matter, its the style and layout that needs looking at and its possible to have it entirely free if you allow adverts on the pages.

if anyone uses any other style of forum and they like it post a link to it here so we can incorporate the most popular style into the new website for the DOC.

personally i like Mr G's forum style.......this Ning forum has its good points, but it is a royal pain to research past topics. a combination of both would be ideal.....any ideas out there?

I agree with Mr Sheridan, however I don't have issues finding stuff at all, maybe I just have more tolerance for system limitations.

I may have found a way to incorporate an rss feed from both here and mr g's into the DOC site but it's not going to happen until I've sorted the other stuff thats not on the net.

If all on here, do what I do, then we can all have the best of both.  I keep my main build diary on Mr G's and let every one know on here when there has been an update. And use Ning to post the odd picture and keep in contact with everyone on a regular basis ..... Simples as they say.

I know what you mean about finding a topic, I was looking for your S1 rebuild a few days ago, took me ages to find it.
