Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Found a problem with this V8, 16 valves to grind in, 16 rockers to grind and polish, 16 ports to clean up 8 pistols to weigh and balance, plus rods to polish and balance. I'll be here for days! Fingers are rubbed raw and I've only stripped it all and acid cleaned it all. The garage smells great :-)))

I don't think anyone likes spacers, it's just that I don't think that there are many 15" or 16" wheels with a suitable offset, if you want low profile tyres. If you fit low profile tyres on 13" wheels then you will probably need a different rear axle to get a suitable gearing. Hobson's choice.

I have a hatred of spacers, poor engineering solutions use spacers. I prefer using the right offset wheels. Plenty still about.

3D printer? It's an interesting toy for making plastic components. A guy at work had one but he found it noisy and slow and it took a long time messing around with 3D CAD system to create the design. He was young and clever. His experience quite put me off them.

its a kit to build a 3d printer. make solid objects designed in CAD or reproduce objects scanned in 3d.

I want to dabble at some point but as I dont have a 3d scanning system and im crap with CAD ... later is the operative word in my case.

There's nothing wrong with spacers, other than costing money. With most modern wheels having a positive ET then you are restricting your choice a lot if you insist on being spacer free.

Well this should throw a spanner, why you selling the rims mate? To bloody heavy, going back to 13's.

You also need to take into account the depth of the rim bead on the rear edge. and yes, before anyone says anything I know 87 isn't half of 177... it's 1.5mm more at 88.5... do your own maths...

7x15 is 177mm / 2 = 87mm (ET0) + ET of 25mm = 112mm backspace required at the rim (the 205's however will bulge on a 7 inch rim so make that +25mm) - anything less than 137mm clearance will run the risk of making contact. As individual axles etc vary you would have to measure.

Should have said they are 7x15. If they need spacers I'll pass on them.
