Found a problem with this V8, 16 valves to grind in, 16 rockers to grind and polish, 16 ports to clean up 8 pistols to weigh and balance, plus rods to polish and balance. I'll be here for days! Fingers are rubbed raw and I've only stripped it all and acid cleaned it all. The garage smells great :-)))

Does he do a decent fry up??
I love work, 50 years of wind ups, skylarks, and the best education you could ever have. I miss the banter and also the hard graft of making things within time and budget. Think I may miss it if I completely stopped. Of course I could always watch you young ones toil :-))
work to live. never live to work or your a slave
you wont get anyware near the melos steve ...we have fitted exorcet missiles in martins flat.....:-)))
Look out Butler!! My boss wants me to hit Battle and Seaford one day next week, collecting some obscure spares.
Hillbillies Jago jeep is "awesome" V8 with 4 wd about 6" off the deck and it Tows very quick, the Sierra was frightened, going up hill at that rate of knots. Just been offered a Mazda v6 that bolts to MX5 gearbox but the wiring is a bit much for the dog, wait 'til morning see what the Murtune has to say. Sold my other crossflow, just like it :-))
My mate is looking at it tomorrow, he is crossflow wizard, my neighbour can't hear it, could be my new super dooper hearing aid picking up things. It would have to be a pinto, can't afford to finish V8 let alone a gearbox etc. Trouble is a £500 engine and gearbox going in a £500 car is not going to make it a £1000 car. Where as, if I sold the Sierra and the pinto separately it would raise more cash, plus the high spec MT75 gearbox. If you get my logic
I'm a gearbox short Paul, it is under consideration, but the hillbillies V8 Jago Jeep does sup the juice a little to readily, but is great fun :-))
USE THAT V8 !!!
Knock, knock , knock, its back. So cutting to the core of the problem....its knockered :-) So the Pinto swap is back on. Out with the angry grinder to remove anything in my line of site, spotted the front seal in the gearbox is weeping. I expect its been sitting for years and now it's not. Still, been good while its lasted. Forgot what little screamers you can make from crossflows, may build another one, may not ?
