Luckily I have a lot of euros hid away plus my wife's family have property in other countries, maybe time for anyone in engineering to consider emigrating. Good luck all, it's going to be a rough couple of years. I'm off to the bank before the panic starts :-))

In the last 10 years (pre bretix) plants have closed,cant get a transit made in Southampton for example or an mg from Solihull

As an employee of a multi-national European company, then I fear for the worst. At 58, I would be vulnerable if there really is a downturn as predicted. I would find it very difficult to find another job in a depressed economy. If I accepted early retirement then my pension would be reduced by about 35% meaning that I would have to move to a 'park home' where there would be no room for a Dutton. I would be free of the tyranny of work and I'd be free to live out my days in poverty in a caravan. The turkeys really have voted for Christmas.
