Thought I had better start a blog to count down the days on the rebuild of Steve's Phaeton. Well tonight the plan started to come together, we now have wipers (2 speeds Whooa), screen washers, a dashboard ready for the clocks and gauges. The to do list just got shorter. 15 days to go...

Yes Steve bought some in the job lot of shiney parts the other week.
Have you got side mirrors?
The hazards obviously needed a full circuit to work but as long as they work its a win.
Replacement calipers ordered, Steve is cutting down the original front springs, as the ones the car came with are just too strong and over the top, the car also sits too high on the front.
The electrics are finished with an added bonus, Steve found that when the rear indicators were wired in he now has hazard lights which was unplanned, but nice to have. The engine runs as you can see in the video, it's all coming together.
Tonight we fitted the de-mister system, which may need a patent, it's an idea Steve had months ago very compact and simple, if it work like planned, then you'll all want de-misters, but for now you'll have to make do with this photo.
Taking it right to the wire Dave !!! Hope all goes well. :-)
The to do list just got shorter with Steve Phaeton, New number plate bought, and MOT booked for Friday afternoon. Fingers crossed.
Your good lady is a Northerner at heart, you should bring her up to see us all sometime.
Quite impressed with the signage darn sarf as the first sign you see at the beginning of the M1 say's The North. Does that mean the North starts there. Wonder if it say's The North on the south coast roads, perhaps we're all Northerners.
