thought we might need a post like this here......
its my plan to put a few wiring diagrams on here for various things that i think will be useful as well as answering various questions hopefully not just by myself.

As a starter...Hazard switches. i have "collected" various switches over the years from scrappers, but independent switches are getting hard to find these days. they tend to be part of a switch cluster. (and the ones you can buy are ugly) if you want matched switches you end up with a cluster that looks like a classic mini dash.
so i am looking to use the same sort of switch for hazards as for everything else ( all nice and neat) so i have worked out a way of doing it using a plain toggle switch (DPST......double pole single throw)
DPST ...a switch with 6 terminals underneath 1,2,3 connect in pairs 1+2 or 2+3 when the switch is thrown. And 4+5 or 5+6 on the other side of the switch. the two sides of the switch are fully independent of each other
This is a circuit i drew up a while ago to control the park switch on my wipers, when i used a Vauxhall Corsa "C" wiper motor. this circuit will work for most wiper motors and it will stop the motor dead when the park area is reached.
This double relay circuit controls Both the two speeds of the motor and the parking of the motor as well. the switch will select slow then fast and when its turned off the motor will park as it should.
i used relays as the corsa motor has enough inertia to over run the park switch preventing it from parking....the relays are configured to cut the power and stop the motor dead.
however it is useful to have the alternative live switched circuit, especially if you need or want to use original switches. exactly what i intended for this post....cheers.
31b park ground stops the motor dead, if that's not connected, it still all works but the motor over shoots the park position.
disapointed you never put your post here Steve....to keep it all together.
