Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Now then chaps someone on here must have fitted poly bushes to Escort TCAs on their car, i've got some on order for the anti roll bar ends where they meet the TCAs,the question is what torque setting have you used, because the Haynes manual for the MK2 says 15 to 45 lb-f-ft for the original rubber ones which i find very vague, however its the torque for poly bushes that i need please.

Thanks Graham sounds right to me, but there will probably be conflicting posts from other members before long, lol

Factory spec why would you need to use any other value?

What info came with the bushes?

Hav'ent got them yet Vern and the Haynes manual states 15-45lb f ft a bit vague to say the least !

Alrighty then, the poly bushes arrived  so yesterday i set about fitting them, a little tip here, make sure the threads on both ends of the bar go right to the end, other wise you wont get the nuts started, i ended up on bar number 3!. But even with a decent bar it wasnt as easy or as quick a job as i had hoped, but with 2 ratchet straps,2 jacks and a lot of swearing i finally   got the awkward sodding things fitted. Perhaps a different make of bush (these were Superflex) might be easier to fit, now onto the next job before the mot.
