Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

I have acquired a crossflow manifold and a set of twin dcoe webers...nice

They are going on the Dutton without doubt , the last time i fitted these to a crossflow it all came as a complete set up ...plug and play.

Now , i have a manifold , 2 carbs and a linkage.

My question is : what is the correct way of mounting dcoe onto the manifold. Have heard talk of anti foaming doofers , misab plates etc. What is the correct set up and has anyone else put these on a Dutton Crossflow

Cheers

you need thackery,s

Pete I will send you a pm, I may have all you need, double O ring spacers and Thackeray washers. Invest in a decent cable linkage, makes a big difference. What about the red top??

Someone mention my name? not me Steve, the red top is here to stay. Pushing on at the moment to try and get a ticket on it before Stoneleigh

Nope. :-))

Dope on a rope? I need a drink.

Sorry all, confused . Com :-)

thackery washer, Its like a double spring washer, basicly you do not tighten the mounting nut up tight , you tighten them until you get a gap between the washer, this stops the fuel throthing in the float bowls

Now days mounting webers  is much easier, you use a rubber spring between 2 cup washers, It also better to scrap the spacers and orings in favour of the nylon type with the oring bonded on, save the orings coming out causeing the engine to pop and splutter.

Hi Neal, after a search in the carb shed, afraid to say all I have is DCOE45 spacers and O rings. Agree with Paul, there are newer bits and bobs, which are probably better then the old tat I have :-))
