Oooh, that is exciting news. What is it like? How did you buy it? Where was it advertised? What engine does it have? What colour is it? Is it on the road or a project?
I'm tempted to say welcome to the upper end of the dutton ownerships but i'll get stick for that LOL.
Lets see some photo's when you get a chance so I can add it to the flickr collection. At least you know there are a few of us that have been in that position before and can offer advice where needed. Be good to know the reg so I can look it up and check it out on my database.
Zimmer frame next then Neil, cars with doors, whatever next ? :-))
When you said a French guy bought your car and came with a trailer, I had some doubt about his identity :) And I am right : here is your car => https://www.facebook.com/Pauls.Classic.Cars (there are also some photos of your car)
I know this guy as I have bought my melos from him also. He buys a lot of English cars and sells them in France. He does the french registration too.
Now, it's a "froggy" who will drive your car :D
That's him , glad the car made it to france in one piece
i'm quite sure it will stay in one piece. Paul is a serious guy and is fond of English cars. Now, he buys some cars in US and he restores them as well. He has a lot of cars avalaibles, especially MG and Dutton. You can see them on his site.
Francis (in this forum) also bought him a Melos (yellow one). They are now in good hands.
You can ask him the question. He will certainly answer you. Sometimes he leaves a message on his facebook saying where the car will go. Have a look if you find it or ask him :)
Oh! Sat on the fence whistling !! :-))
I'd suggest you broke your journey here in Bolton for a brew but i'm working up to 5pm, won't be home until 6. and leaving later in the evening for Kent as its my Dad's birthday Saturday :( if you get around the Bolton area between 6 and 10 then i'll be at home and happy to brew up.
