some pics of the rebuild process,

the top trailing arm bracket is broke......

the diff is sloping back a little (looking up) so that will need sorting.......

As you can see there isn't a lot of bracing in an S1 chassis, that will be sorted.

You're auto correction settings have gone up da wall Dave.

What about these Dave, need stripping and refinishing but staggered offsets.

They might be just what I need......
Poxy note 4 autospellcheck / correction is very annoying

The front pair are skinned up with low profiles, i'll go and check the size but they are good tyres and I have four (back two have no tyres but will take the other two with no problem.

One front has been partly stripped back to bare alloy spokes, the rest are black (badly done, which is why i started stripping them) front are FWD offset like et38 I think. But then they are 15 x 7's

How about just spacing the backs out. They don't need to be expensive spacers, just those universal ones. Then they'd all look the same. It might give the car an interesting 'mean' look.

To much talk about spacers "yuk" :-))

We all know James likes something to fill the gap...

Using FWD offset wheels does have that disadvantage, I was told those rims on the leggie came off a Sierra based Cobra originally, they are 100+, long since gone manufacturer.

Anyway, i'll not fill Daves build thread with more innuendo...

I've got these kicking about if they are any good Dave, offset is around et30 and they are 13 x 5.5 from memory. I didn't use them on the S4 as they needed big spacers but may be different on an earlier car.

Very tempting Pete......was planning on 14" wheels for better tyre choice but I will consider my options. Ade's 15" rims are also a posibility. I will call you later. Any idea of price?

They could do with a refurb and i'm not sure i'd trust the tyres, i'd be happy with £40 for them. The back space on them is about 95mm if that helps.

For ours we reshaped the arches to make the wheels a better fit - extending the outside edge downward. Also has effect of widening the arches a bit
Lowering also helps

I will call you Pete. ....
Set of 4 or 5......?
