Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

ordered 10 m of white carbon fibre effect vinyl car wrap £80

Gonna wrap the entire vehicle , been practising on a few items such as cycle wings , air filter and few other items. Its all about the heat and stretching. Luckily the dutton does not have many curves so should be easy and much better than having to prep the body for painting.

I did some on a capri once (bonnet) and it looked good and lasted .

I have been polishing the cosmic 13" wheels i bought with autosol , not very good finish though.Anyone know of a better aluminium polish.

That was a good price Neil !! The price I was quoted for the material to do mine was £278.00 and when he saw a picture of the Phaeton, he quoted me about £800.00 if he did the job :-(  so I am back to lots of prep for paint.

Will be very interested to see how you get on.

How do you apply the heat, is a hair dryer enough? I've seen some on line that claim to be 100% bubble free - doesn't that depend on the fitter or is it like a heat-shrink material? Do you, or can you, add lacquer on top of it?

3M is bubble free, look for cross hatching on the sticky side. I used it on the doors and side panels, and used an hair dryer to shape it round the roll bar cover.
