Here's the first view of what's covered my lovely clean garage floor, can you tell what it is yet?
I'm sorting the paperwork out with Ade but it's not going to be ready for Stoneleigh that's for sure. It was a runner (before I got at it) because I was determined not to buy a several year long project. However I could not afford a sorted runner so this is it.
My first problem is I'm too tall so I'm looking at ways of lengthening the cockpit - more pictures to follow.

Thanks for the offer Ade, but I wont know what I need until I've finished the mods - current thinking is steel sheet for rear section (a large part of what's in the photo), then extend the footwell forward and re-make the pedal box. As you can see nothing major!
There is a stall that does closed cell foam (callogen) which is what you both mean.. at Newark every year but... I have some in different thicknesses and densities which I might be able to squeeze in the car for the weekend.
I might also have someone who can supply 6ft x 3ft sheets of the stuff given a month or two delivery times (he doesn't order very often) at way below what you will pay at a show.
I think my seat will be foam bedding roll used for camping!
I do seem to be developing a list - Lower "seat" (probably steel sheet), move/redesign pedal box, rewire (the existing looked a mess and when I made a start on removing it tonight connection's were falling apart)....
But I am trying hard to keep the improvements to a minimum so I can get some use this year - at least that's the goal.
Ah Ha, the fun begins .......... I seem to remember saying something along those lines 3 1/2 years ago :-) the first thing I did was junk the fibreglass bulk head, just to be able to get more leg room ............ then I took something else off, then something else ....... get the picture !! but its great fun.
