Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

From 12pm tonight, there are 157 days until the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh, starting on Sunday 4th May 2014.

I now throw down the gauntlet to all who frequent this site ...... the challenge is :- if you own a Dutton, you must get to the show, driving your Dutton  under its own steam,  (some of you have MANY to choose from)

Its about time we showed the regulars who attend each year, in their cars, that we support them. So come on chaps, who is going and what will you be driving??

My Phaeton S2 will be there!!   (hope, prey and work harder) :-)

I should be able to do this if I get the time off work

the mrs and I and our S2 phaeton should be there will be a bit sad if we dont make it as we live less than 10 miles away from the venue lol

i know that feeling steve,  i dont have much to do now, but money is getting tighter with each month:( and the beast whilst almost right, still isnt quite ready, still needs fetling   plus the weather is against me, as i have to work on it old in the elements  and spend more time repairing the damage the weather has done than sorting out the niggling faults  latest is n/s hinges torn out of the screen suround so its going to have to be a screen out job, and then re rivet  ,the wind must have caught the door, it broke the rope, holding it shut against the roll bar,

well my first job today regardless of what the weather throws at me is to change that sump plug washer and refill the engine . then hopefully i can try to get it onto the hardstanding  ,as i said, not much to do , really, and not that expensive, its just working out in a sea of mud , and nigling things, like engine ciutting out for no reason sometimes, when i move it, but it will sit and idle fine for ages.

smokebox ash is terrible stuff when wet it goes like tar,  sticks to everything:))

just got the oil, so hopefully later i will sort out one problem,  with me, its not so much the costs, apart from the MOT fee, what i need is not going to break the bank, as long as im carefull, its the not being able to get out there and do anything,  thats going to decide if i make it or not on 5 May,  if the weather continues as it has so far, then its highly unlikily i will be able to finish the car and put enough miles under the bonnet to risk a drive to the midlands

Actually im a bit more possitive, i just changed the sump washer and re filled her with oil, changed the fan belt for a shorter one, and she sounds  so much happier for it, started on 1 turn of the key, engine sounds sweeeeeet, and that exhaust note,  burbles a way like a cat purring

loco  ash will get everywhere, i used to get right stick from her indoors , until i burried her under the pattio,   where did you get it from? bury bolton street yard?
