Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

some pics of the rebuild process,

the top trailing arm bracket is broke......

the diff is sloping back a little (looking up) so that will need sorting.......

As you can see there isn't a lot of bracing in an S1 chassis, that will be sorted.

I have new poly ones for 'triumph' eyelet fitting... any good?

Well it might be that but if it's a real 'knock' I'd be surprised unless they're quite worn.

Are you sure you have the right sized bolts on the shockers?

We had this problem y'see. Some very similar but not quite the same metric vs imperial. A slightly loose fit will have alot more play than a rose joint on its own - and of course the lack of rubber will make it sound worse

Right.....what's new?

Cant see anything because of the glare from that number plate

Nicely done Mr Adams. Congratulations.

Nice one

the answer would be the whole car......its a new registration.......

*FV suffix is from the Lincolnshire fens area......close to me.....shame it isnt a Hull one BAT, CAT and HRH all being possible.

Age related....new reg as of  1.2.17

Must be one of the last "new" duttons ever.... :-)

Well done Dave, just need some Dutton weather, anything you can do to help ??  :-)

i wish..... ;-)

Well a bit of test drive today....speedo is not good.

Car was also squirmy almost like bump steer but noticeable under acceleration and deceleration. So I looked at the tracking and it was WAY out. The suspension has settled down and it came to 1 degree 30 minutes toe in. .....!

So it got corrected to 15 minutes toe in......SORTED!

Well you dont really have an excuse with all the adjustment you have built in!!  It is a great feeling, getting to know a new toy.   Time to put the Phaeton in your Avatar then Dave.
