ok thanks. looks like i need to go back to school. its been one botch after another this car. i really am sick of it all now.. wheres the beer

thanks graham ..added to fav`s ...got to get a good understanding on this wireing . ..:-(

part nbr 71ab-17b571 dated 14/12/1970    no white tracer in any brown wires

and iv got to work out how to get the dash out yet. some pr==k has covered it in fake leather and its coming off so got all that to strip out omg (for sale sierra) lol :-))))

Pull it all out and do it correctly. Presumably you are under no time constraints, and having another toy to play takes the pressure off. Old wiring can cause all sorts of problems in the future, and its not that hard to replace.

it is to me paul something iv never done. and yes im under pressure i need it for work .....i was stupid i should have just bought a cheep van dugh....on me

well iv bought a electrical tester. the self educating has started, ....should be fun NOT :-)

:-)

hi chaps. so while im removing all this rubbish and dash board. i would like the steering wheel to be a little higher up. rubs on my knees. so can i shorten the bracket in pic...? losen where the column goes through the bulk head. and raise it up a bit. i hope im making sense here. can anyone see any problems with me doing this. many thanks for any input ...

you can do anything you want. Its a kit car

just looking for thoughts on anything i may have missed. cheers
