Deffo not a Dutton that i'm aware of but what the hell is it people?

Seems to be more of a backbone chassis popular with early Lotus' and TVR's.

Triumph herald, spitfire etc. chassis and engine, box, back end.

Looks like a Triumph Herald or Spitfire to me.

We concur - spitfire or herald chassis... most certainly not the Dutton Sierra S1 that the V5 and plate belongs to.

I managed a similar stunt in a 1200cc split-screen VW Transporter. It hopped but didn't roll over. I never did it again!

I remember a few years back you could get a GRP GT6 bodytub to fit on these, beautifully made, often thought how nice it would be to build a decent chassis and use a BMW donor with a straight six.
