hi guys need a new lock barrel and key for the drivers side on sierra.  mk1 escort locks are silly money. so does anyone know of a different lock that would fit.

I have some locks and keys but would need a 'fitting kit' making as they are just keys, barrels and lock. I'll take some photo's tomorrow.

The price of any thing Escort is getting stupid and its bad news for Duttons that are Escort based as it makes repairs or restoration non viable.

There are lots of parts still available retail at sensible prices but bodywork items command a premium. Locks are awkward as MK1's were in the door handles and only acted on the push button on the outside to jam it away from the opener. New lock = new handle. Best thing to do is fit dead locks.

i think so paul massive saving on mk1 escort locks :-)

They should do the job with a little fettling Brian, even if you have to make new actuator plates.
