DuttonOwners

Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

South East Duttoneers, South West Duttoneers, Midlands Duttoneers, North Eastern Duttoneers, Scottish Duttoneers. 6 area groups, all affiliated to The Dutton Owners Club.
I think we've been here before, but lets try again. With area groups coming together at Stoneleigh. monthly get togethers in respective areas and inter group tours. There's 135 members on here in all, not all active commentors on the forums, but must have had an interest to join.
The Northern Duttoneers started with 4 car owning members of the DOC getting together, we now have 12 regularly getting together once a month with 6 cars in the group and not restricted to Duttons, Martin and Karen have a Westfield, Mike as a TVR, and Steve H had an interesting conversation this weekend with a Caterham owner who would be interested in meeting up. We organise tours, show visits, runs out and for the last 3 years we have had a stand at The Lancashire Classic Car and Bike Show at Hoghton Tower just outside Preston.
Our wives are happy passengers, as long as there's a shop on route, and are as interested in getting the cars ready for the runs out. The social side is a big part of Duttoneering, and we think we've found the answer.

well youve got me,, and dave adams close together  north lincs/humberside   ,, what area would we come under ?

Sounds like a good idea to me, I'm quite close to Danny, well, about 16 miles so could work.

Strangely, despite the 5 of us living in 'Bolton' I think its 13 miles to Dave's house from mine (road mileage, fastest route)

I live in't sticks one way and Dave T and Steve K live in't sticks the other way.

We all bundled in Daves Rav to go and see Gary when he started work on the S3 and that was a lot further.

If you know there is a listening ear / sounding board / pair of hands it's just like having a safety blanket... :-)

There will be a [tick box] on the emailed membership form for those who don't mind going 'public' with email and phone numbers, probably on the posted one too. I will collate all the info by county and send it to the nearest committee member. You can all sort your selves out then. Saves me a job.

Only 58 members showing on the DOC owners map, would be useful for this excercise to know where the rest are located.

I might pin some on anonymously... no details but just a model and series.

They would have to go on in a different colour though.

There will be a lot of links in the membership renewal reminder email which should be out in the next couple of days. (i'm still working on it.)

u can put my details on if i am not on there or put a link on here so can do it

As soon as my S2 hits the tarmac, I will be pushing to get a group together,  it could  be called South Eastern or Southern Duttoneers, It  depends on how many bods are prepared to come and have some fun and where they are prepared to come from or go to. Need to know who is around me, other than the 58 on the Dutton Map.

any body intersted in a group near the ,,humber,, bridge ??????????????????????????

well me of course Mike......

I guess i'll be fronting that one to the committee then boys?

Dave can you let me have a breakdown of the costs on the banner, T'shirts etc

Very good idea , to try to set up regional groups, mostly because if your down south, them northern meets are no good to  you and vice versa , There are quite a few  shows that the DOC wouldnt have a presence at  that a regional group could take on board and  increase our clubs presence at.

how many dutton owners are there out there that are not in the club  or even know that that the club is there?   what does everyone else think ?

, is there enough owners down my way to make a southern  or sussex group ?   i know that there are others such as the Kent kit car club etc  indeed i used to be a member   but it would be nice to have a monthly run out as a dutton owners club  , and if they promise not to rape and plunder, we could even invite some of our northern friends along if there is a large show locally such as detling

well, since we have already got six duttons based at my home farm, I would be willing to rally up all the Scottish Duttoneers in our region ( are you are classing the whole of Scotland as one area group ? )   might be difficult to get them together for monthly meetings etc, anyway give me a shout if I can assist in any way
