If anyone is going can they please add themselves to the list below so I know if I need to take a marquee. copy the list and paste it then add your self, that way I only have to read the last post to get an idea.

I have decided that next year me and son will be showing on the club area at at least one show as I was dissapointed as to how few of us were there on Sunday in (trying to be diplomatic here) well used examples of Dutton. Compared to some of the other club areas we were definately lacking in the "pretty" departmant and I don't just mean our members (including me) either. Compared to even Jago we did have quite a poor turnout so I for one am determined more than ever to uphold the name of Dutton at one show for a full weekend next year. That's my rant over, although to be fair, if it wasn't for the track action the show would have been a let down, but then again it is the first one at Donington for a few years.

With respect Marc perhaps you should hold back on "ranting" about the well used un pretty examples until you know all the facts about their owners and their financial circumstance, this is not a rant and i dont want to fall out with anyone over it.

I have found that a few people SORN on sept 1st for the winter, the climate hasn't helped this year either.

I know all about financial constraints Dave, I have to live on £54/week. What I said was about the few people who came in Duttons in comparason to some other clubs, that was the point of the minor rant. There is in excess of 145 members on here and on Sunday I saw less than 10%, not many really.

Marc, I do agree agree with your point and your brave to post it! I get the impression that most aren't there because most don't run and most wont ever again. it seems many people want to have a "kit car" as a status symbol, just like motorbikes. i own and ride mine but most own, do 50 miles a year but claim "i'm a biker"

anyway that's my take after being an owner for 3 months.

Well I'm happy because I've done 217 miles in 3 days in the wind rain and sunshine :-)

.. you went to the horse trials in the Dutton?

Bet ur arse is as numb as mine. Lol
Yep it's only 35 miles from me. It was a good idea at the time but after 8 hours of walking a million miles the drive to the hotel was a killer on the legs and bum.

Not really a finacial constraint for me more of a time constraint.

John, I think your brave agreeing with me, be careful that the brown smelly stuff doesn't hit the revolvong circular object.

"be careful that the brown smelly stuff doesnt hit the revolving  circular object"

No danger of that, my local farmer has made himself busy today with it, on the field next to where i work, he's spread so much, there cant be any left
