If anyone is going can they please add themselves to the list below so I know if I need to take a marquee. copy the list and paste it then add your self, that way I only have to read the last post to get an idea.

I know all about financial constraints Dave, I have to live on £54/week. What I said was about the few people who came in Duttons in comparason to some other clubs, that was the point of the minor rant. There is in excess of 145 members on here and on Sunday I saw less than 10%, not many really.

Marc, I do agree agree with your point and your brave to post it! I get the impression that most aren't there because most don't run and most wont ever again. it seems many people want to have a "kit car" as a status symbol, just like motorbikes. i own and ride mine but most own, do 50 miles a year but claim "i'm a biker"

anyway that's my take after being an owner for 3 months.

Well I'm happy because I've done 217 miles in 3 days in the wind rain and sunshine :-)

.. you went to the horse trials in the Dutton?

Bet ur arse is as numb as mine. Lol
Yep it's only 35 miles from me. It was a good idea at the time but after 8 hours of walking a million miles the drive to the hotel was a killer on the legs and bum.

Not really a finacial constraint for me more of a time constraint.

John, I think your brave agreeing with me, be careful that the brown smelly stuff doesn't hit the revolvong circular object.

"be careful that the brown smelly stuff doesnt hit the revolving  circular object"

No danger of that, my local farmer has made himself busy today with it, on the field next to where i work, he's spread so much, there cant be any left

I commented on exactly this a day or two before the event.

There are some shows that get a better turn out, We had to have overflow parking and then some at Stoneleigh in 2005 with 53 cars there on the sunday and a good few of them on the monday too. Economy down turn (blah) unemployment (blah) there are lots of different reasons why people don't attend anymore. Maybe we would be better telling them what a good time they missed reather than poking them for not coming. I'm happy that those people that did come made the effort, and sympathise with some absent friends who had no way of getting there,

Its one of the few shows where I wish I could have been in two or more places at once.

I am sure that most people have a reason why they couldnt get to the show,I used to enjoy the shows, and for myself can't wait to get mine on the road,  and to meet up with old friends and make new ones, Like Marc, i also am on a budget  and have to be very carefull how i get bits for the car, but saying that, i will endever to turn out a tidy car  to the best of my ability, it may not have expensive wheels or dials, but it will be as good as i can get it

being down in the south, some shows are going to be just too far,  for me Detling is a must, then stoneleigh, but anything beyond that distance i would have to work out what i can afford to do

Great pictures Ade,   there is something about Nicks Phaeton that looks mean and menacing painted in matt black, it makes the front end look wider than normal ......... I like that.

To make my excuses for not attending (apart from the car not being ready)... I am riding the 'magic bus' in Amsterdam this week end !!!
