It's a Scorhill Magic as stated, completely new design although I agree, it does look like it was based on a Melos.

We have one in the club, based down Plymouth way.

These were designed to use cortina components (MK 3 4 and 5) and are slightly wider than the average Melos too.

i want it.....mmmmm melos for sale maybe....

With respect to Magic owners etc... NO BRIAN!

That front was designed like an Austin 1100....

lol ok calm down. i like it

I believe it was Scorhill ... who then followed Tim D into bankruptcy. Moulds were destroyed of that I am certain.

TDW sold dutton cars for £1000000 to an unknown holding company, he then blew the money on his first amphibious car venture, Scorhill might have been the company that had the tooling the ended up at eagle. Speak to Pete Brown he has the full sp on this and has regalled me with it more than once

It didn't. TDW sold dutton cars at the end of 1989 to a holding company that did nothing with it. There are several accounts of how the phaetonS4 and B+S2 fell into the hands of Eagle.

Sierra, melos tub, phaeton S3 tub, rico, benetto and legerra tooling had all been destroyed by the time Pete Brown came to the rescue, Pete saved what he could, B+, phateon s1 and some melos and PhaetonS3 panels. Later when Eagle cars went under the eagle tooling was saved by a boat builder Greg (can't remember his surname) Greg formed ALFS and attempted to put the phaetonS4 back into production but this was just about the time the SVA came in and Greg felt the work to make the car SVA friendly was too much work and gave up on the idea. I pointed this out to Pete Brown who subsequently bought the ex eagle tooling.

Pete Brown has what there is - if you want to hear the full story talk to Pete, he's usually quite happy to regale the story to any interested duttoneers

Its not a Dutton  but in its favour it does have a boot lid

like the red mustang. and the old mini....some lovley cars their graham.

Love the Rat Rod, the looks on the faces....

My Legerra is a Scorhill....purchased 1995 registered 1997...must be one of the last made.....and a total pigs ear.
