Dutton Kit Cars and their owners

Last month my Dewalt drill went down, 5-6 years of daily abuse took its toll. Went out this morning to find my Milwaukee drill has ceased to exist as well. Battery has had it, been on charge but only lasting 20mins.

I didn't plan that in this months budget :-)  Anybody got any favourites? I have a cheap Ryobi that just keeps going, but the chuck size is limiting. I need a 13mm. chuck, dont really need a hammer function any more. Could buy new batteries but heard bad things about them. I'll wait until the weekend and see if theres any offers on. All seems a bit pricy now I'm not earning :-))  (I'm a casualty of Brexit)

So the Dewalt will be slow, not do a lot and cost far too much :-)))))

just been selling some of my surplus tools, and came across this, good for Mr Sheridan I think :-)) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Snap-On-Collector-Wrench-Series-Set-24ct-...

Hmmmm, I like them knives. Although I don't think Mrs S would be too happy about me slipping them into the posh cutlery set :-))

Great when yr fingers fall off the nut/bolt is up tight ? better than a torque rench

Are they metric or imperial?

@ Big Vern: I'm inventing a gadget to go in the end to stir the tea :-))

@ Steve Kerswell: I work with someone who has a motor in the bottom of his mug to stir the tea automatically - that way he can avoid work altogether :/

Bound to be imperial, those yanks are way behind us European guys :-))

I never thought of Hitachi, got a mate who was a rep for them :-) as for de walt, it has been the best drill I've owned, good chuck and plenty of torque, long battery life. I've had it seven years, I checked, abused and used to drill steel work and even as a hammer drill into concrete, can't fault it, May see about the batteries just for the sake of having the decent steel chuck. My (ex) boss is well miffed with having a skip full of so called high grade tools, so I've seen a fair few bad and good ones over the years.

I think I own a BnD scroller jigsaw and a Ferm circular saw, all my other power tools are DeWalt..

I have a Bosch jigsaw, it's a good thirty years old, 110 volt, noisy as he'll but still cuts a good line :-)) also have a 110 pistol drill that can only take 6mm or smaller, it does 4500 rpm. Drill for pop rivets.
