Q835XSC purchased from the factory in 1988, completed in 1990, stored for the winter in 1991 and there it sat for 22 years, possibly one of the saddest Legerras I have ever seen apart from my black one.

So the saga of the gearbox rear seal continues. When it had the rear crank seal done the garage also fitted a prop/tailshaft seal which promptly leaked just as badly as the one they took out.
When I had the horrible vibration issue it was coming from the prop not fitting into the gearbox. Thinking this might have damaged the bush inside the…

Hi Adrian,
The idea behind me joining the club before buying a Dutton/project was to gain some knowledge and hopefully some good advice. I enjoyed my time with the Phaeton back in the 80s but always wanted the earlier cycle type wings and wished I take up that option when I bought the kit new. I'm now returning to this interest with little to no understanding of how rare my ideal Dutton is to track down, I'm just hoping someone can point me in the right direction before I make an impulse buy. If required I am very open to picking up a project and building the car to my specification.

Hi Adrian. Thanks for the welcome. My estate is complete and running (although it has just run out of MOT - waiting to see if I can get it mot exempt). I’ve owned it for around 9 years. The drophead is a project that I picked up late last year. It is complete but has stood for at least 25 years. It’s slowly coming together as time allows, I will try and add a build up thread for it at some point.
Thank for the welcome Adrian.
hi Adrian I had changed my email address and forgot my password so was easier to start a new profile just need to rebuild my profile now :)
Well Paul I have a Legerra for sale
Hi Adrian
It would be ideal, but the timing is not on my side at the mo; the Wife is about to give birth to our first child in the next 3 weeks...
Also, you are the main reason I'm looking at a Dutton-I follow your threads over on Retro Rides, and its your Legerras that got me interested!
Cheers
Paul
Hi Adrian, yes - just up't road. I'm afraid it's time for mine to go...... Need the space. I haven't used it for 7 years. Fired it up recently though, needed a new fuel pump..... Hard to find.
