steamy windows !!

No, nothing like that I can assure you :-) Due to some inconsiderate tw*t hitting my Saab putting it in the garage at my expense, I've had to press the Sierra back into service. Luckily I had not got to far into doing the swap over, so a simple job to recommission. Decided for the first time to use the heater, now the Sierra is not entirely water tight, so after 15 minutes steam started to be blown out the vents. This condensed on the glass and no amount of wiping etc. would clear it.…

Phaeton's for sale

I have heard of 2 or 3 phaeton's up for grabs. They are in the Silverstone area and have 1600 Xflow engines....
One has been a trials car and was a championship winning trials car a few years ago appearing on BBC top gear.
The guy is looking to sell them to DOC owners for preservation but may break them if no interest. ....

phaeton update

Since getting the car on the road, a couple of years ago now, we've noticed some lack of steering feel. We measured the caster angle earlier in the year and noticed each side were not even the same and i cant remember what the actual measurement figure was but it could definitely be improved. Last weekends little project was to make some spare wishbones we had adjustable.…

Bit of a project

Nearly Done!

After a lot longer than we thought and a few changes of direction our Melos is ready for MOT! We had to ditch the Ford ECU because no matter how many circuit diagrams we got, none was the same as ours, (this included Ford's own factory electrics manual, all 816 pages of it, printed off at work!)

So we now have a ex. 1.6 pintoed Melos which now has the 1.6 Zetec Sigma, run by a Megasquirt sorting out the Honda CBR1000 throttle bodies and sparks and the like, black body, bride seats and…
