This is how my Dutton started his Dutch life. As you can see the British license plate is still on. Based on my research the Dutton moved from the UK to Holland in the summer of 2012. Does anyone recognise the car and may be knows the UK - history. The donor car was Ford Escort Mk II from 1978, also based on my research.…

Here I am, also a Dutton owner!
Since a few weeks a Dutton owner. I started to look for a Donkervoort, Westfield, MK Indy but after a look at my motorbikes and Bank account I decided to start "low profile", in fact low budget.
And I bought a Dutton Pheaton S3, 1978, with Honda CBR 1000 engine.
Nice configuration but I have to spend some time on it to get it on my quality level.
So I will.

Evenin',
Been out playing again today. This is significant because it's almost exactly one year since we wheeled the Phaeton out for its first Autotest. You may remember, or even refresh yourselves by revisiting my old blog post, that both Steve and I were truly shocking that day, and various things went wrong with the car. We were last and second-last by a long bloody way on the 2015 SDMC July Autotest.
Fast-forward one year.
Other than…

Hi all,
We've kinda hit quiet time of the year for Autotesting as clubs get stuck into organising rallies and things like that instead, so I've revisited a few of the things I'd like to develop on the Phaeton.
1. Double width triple ARB kit - Bought ages ago but not fitted. You may remember I had to scrounge some bushes from a guy to do an event as I noticed the bushes were stuffed the day before, and he only had double width ones. So I had to fit these in…

I have a complete front window screen from a B+ I broke up a few years ago [chassis rotten] it is complete with frame, glass. hockey stick side brackets and the thin top fame that I assume holds the roof to the frame. Free to take away or in a weeks time its off to the skip. Also have both full length front wings which are in ok condition which are also free or off to the skip.

having problems with my speedo again. dugh. bought a new cable fitted it. had wrong sized screw cap on the back. so made a clip to hold it in. it worked for a couple of miles then died. so to cut a long story short. the cable that snapped had a bigger square drive on the end. so the new one is just spinning in the back of the clock. the speedo is a icknield. so what can i do now. i thought all speedo cables had the same sized square drive.....argh :-(

Today I finally made it, fetching Dorrie from the container to the place where I can work on her. A full rebuild is planned as she is currently in bits, only partly restored. Progress will be rather slow, since it will mainly be evenings or weekends I can work on her for a couple of hours.
What did already happen?
Ade already helped me out with a complete Phaeton shell, which I was able to collect on the same weekend as the AGM and Stoneleigh were. So one day Dorrie will wear…
