On a standard EEC-V Ford ECU as well!
Turns out you just need to make sure that you get the ignition key from the donor car, as well as the key sensor ring from the inside of the donor steering column shroud.
Guess what, the OBD diagnostic reader even works too! I've connected it to a cheapo bluetooth OBD reader and now I can get all kinds of fancy info from my Android OBD app including RPM, Temperature, throttle angle and even car performance (although I've not tried that…

So driving to work this morning and I am suddenly showered in little glass cubes, the drivers side door window has shattered, no visible cause but there was a 7 1/2 tonner going past me at the time so I suppose it could have been a stone impact.
Auto windscreens, bless em, have quoted me three to four days and that's with no guarantee's.. :-(
So the obvious question is, does anyone have a spare drivers door glass for a sierra?

Being wheely busy...
So them 'chelsea tractor' rims went from being shiny chrome when they arrived to rusty in a very short space of time. Seems they had been polished with some really abrasive material which had removed the outer chrome part of the plating leaving highly polished steel rim in places. Now this looked nice until they got wet but after washing they started to brown up and soon had rusty bits all around the outer part of the rim.
This is somewhat unappealing so I…

I got started on the rebuild today. here a tip for anyone don't use coach bolts to fasten your bumper on, after 10 years they don't want to move, and what made me use a 4" one at the centre of the rear bumper? que angle grinder...
Looks like the rear drivers wheel arch has had a fair old knock. all crazing cut back with Dremmel and diamond tip, then all body wiped down with thinners to shift any trace of polish. first fill with flexible filler. That can have a couple of days to cure…

I took me car off the road back in may as the engine needs a overhaul, I have now decided to sell the car. I am offering it on here first as a complete car for 2K. Now I know alot of folk out there will say its not worth that if the engine is knackerd but the car cost 10K to build and I have the recipts to prove. It seems a shame to brake it but its worth more in bits, I would sooner it went to some one who would keep it complete and use it in the club. The bad news is its in the north of…

avoiding taking the engine out of the Sierra (AGAIN) This was accomplished by attacking the floor in the cab with an angle grinder and buzz saw. The end result will be a much lower tunnel which will then allow my seats to fit properly. In the process I have removed thin tin plate, polystyrene blocks, a shed load of P40 and some cardboard (soggy).
Killing P40 and P38 with a flap disc in the angle grinder REALLY makes the dust fly. I ache from leaning in through the door of the car but…

it has a S3 body and boot lid and bonnet....but an early triumph front wish bone chassis.....looking at the rear end of the chassis it could be a B+ chassis, he says he has a log book so Big Vern get in there quick your S1 could have its new chassis.

the above is an example of a "Lefora" style forum, the software to use it is free and it looks to have a good layout....the forum in question isn't well used but that doesn't matter, its the style and layout that needs looking at and its possible to have it entirely free if you allow adverts on the pages.
if anyone uses any other style of forum and they like it post a link to it here so we can…

tried and failed with the vinyl wrap on my s2 , too many curves on back end. it was a nice day today and the car needed some attention. so , went and found a big tin of exterior gloss paint and hand painted/rollered the entire car inside and out. made a new dash panel for the switches , fitted 4 x cosmic wheels , painted the metal work around the front end. took the alternator off for a clean up,wrapped the ehaust manifold in that white fabric stuff.fitted a new fog…
